Welding method of two parts of a blade.

A process is claimed for the welding of the two parts of a rotor blade (9,10), in which a flange (15) of sacrificial material is arranged between the contact surfaces (16,17) or around them in order to augment the heat produced by the rubbing of the leading edges and the flight of the rotor blade. The two parts of the rotor blade (9,10) are inserted between some pairs of jaws (1,2) and put in contact at their contact surfaces (16,17) by bringing the jaws together. The welding process used may be a linear friction welding process, a spark welding process or a forging and fusion welding process.
