The connection box includes a base (11), a box frame (12) solidly attached to the base and an access window (13). The access window itself serves to provide the fastening which holds the box frame to the base plate. The access window includes tabs (28) which are inserted under a retaining shoulder within the box. The base plate includes a set of pillars which stand upright in order to form part of the retaining mechanism. A number of separators may be provided within the box in order to separate the individual connections.
