PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material reduced in the color erasure of a printing part in spite of the contact with oil or a plasticizer and excellent in preservability and sensitivity by adding at least one kind of a water-soluble polymeric compd. selected from xanthane gum and Rhamsan gum to a thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material is obtained by arranging a thermal color forming layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron donating color forming dye, an electron acceptive coupling compd. allowing the color forming dye to develop a color by heating and a binder as main components on a sheet like support. In this case, at least one kind of a water-soluble polymeric compd. selected from xanthane gum, Rhamsan gum and Welan gum is added to the thermal recording layer. By this constitution, the thermal recording material reduced in the color erasure of a printing part in spite of the contact with oil or a plasticizer and excellent in preservability and sensitivity is obtained. |
