PURPOSE:To impart self-cleaning function to a ventilator at the ambient temperature by carrying a catalyst to a filter surface provided in a hood body interior of a suction port side of a fan casing and a hood body inner surface, and providing exciting means for exciting to activate the catalyst in a space. CONSTITUTION:A filter 14 for collecting oil droplet 13 in oil mist 8 is disposed in a vent passage for connecting a hood body 1 to a suction port 2 and a blower 7. A predetermined space 16 is provided at a suction side from the filter 14 surface in a hood body 1, and a catalyst 17 (e.g. oxidation catalyst, photocatalyst, etc.,) for decomposing to vaporize adhered cooking oil is provided on an inner surface of the body 1 and a surface of the filter 14. Exciting means 18 for exciting to activate the catalyst 17 is provided on a surface opposed to the filter 14 under the body 1. The exciting means 18 is formed of a near ultraviolet emitting lamp 19. |
