PURPOSE:To obtain a highly water-permeable nonwoven sheet rich in mechanical characteristics such as high strength, low elongation, low creep property, tear resistance and durability to projection and suitable as a highly functional material of construction excellent in executability. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophobic filament web 2 consisting a pair of upper and lower polyester filaments is drawn through a feed roll 7 and a hydrophobic filament yarn 3 consisting of a polyester filament is led through a reed 5 between a pair of webs 2 while making arranging interval uniform and integrally interlaced by a needle punch processing machine 6 arranged between the feed roll 7 and a take up roll 8 to form the objective nonwoven sheet 1. The nonwoven sheet 1 has at least 5<tf>/m tensile strength, <30% breaking elongation and a high water permeability of at least 1X10<-1>cm/sec permeability coefficients in vertical direction and horizontal direction. |
