RHIZOBIUM TRIFOLII MALONYL-COA SYNTHETASE

The malonyl-CoA synthetase is produced by (a) cultivating a rhizobium trifolii ACTT 14479, (b) ultrasonic crushing the cultivated cell to obtain a cell extract, (c) fractionally precipitating the extract with an ammonium sulphate, and (d) purifying the crude protein by the DEAE-Cefacell anion exchange chromatography, Affi-gel blue affinity chromatography and hydroxyl aphatite chromatography. The malonyl-CoA synthetase is used in the mfr. of a diagnostic drug for a methylmalonyl acid uria.
