CATALYST FOR ALKOXYLATION, PRODUCTION OF THE CATALYST, AND PRODUCTION OF ALKOXYLATE USING THE CATALYST

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve qualities and to narrow the distribution of addition of alkylene oxide by constituting the catalyst of a metal oxide having both of the basic point with specified pKa and the acidic point with specified NH3 gas absorption amt. CONSTITUTION:This catalyst consists of a metal oxide containing magnesium and at least one kind of metal selected from groups 2B, 4A, 4B, 5B, 6A in the Periodical Table by a subgroup system such as zinc, titanium, zirconium, and having the basic point of 9-25pKa and the acidic point of 50-500mumol/g gas absorption of Nh3. Thereby, the catalyst has both of basic property to activate a compd. containing active hydrogen atms and acid property to activate an alkylene oxide in a good balance.
