PURPOSE:To provide an image receiving material forming surface capable of forming an image receiving material excellent in developed color density, sharpness and fastness by the thermal transfer of an image composed of a sublimable dye being a recording agent. CONSTITUTION:An image receiving material forming surface used when an image receiving material is formed by the thermal transfer of the image composed of a sublimable dye on a base material sheet is composed of a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin with glass transition temp. of 40-80 deg.C and the thickness thereof is 10mum or more.
