PURPOSE:To perform recording on recording paper optimized in the division number and reduction rate and to perform the recording at the optimum reduction rate even in the case of performing division recording by providing plural selection processing means, selecting the recording paper for recording picture information by one of the selection processing means among them and recording the picture information at a recording reduction rate corresponding to the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is provided with first-forth selection processings 11. Then, a recording part 2 for recording the picture information to the recording paper of a prescribed size based on a main scanning length and a scanning length read by means of a read part 1 and an operation part 3 for displaying an operation state and the driving state of the equipment, etc., for which the various kinds of operation keys are disposed are provided. Then the recording paper provided with the same main scanning length as the picture information is retrieved first, and when the recording paper is present, whether or not the division recording is required to be performed is decided. In the case of performing the division recording, a division number is calculated and the recording reduction rate is calculated. Also, when the recording paper is selected by giving priority to the sub scanning length, the necessity/unnecessity of the division recording are decided, and then whether or not the main scanning length can be recorded on the same recording paper is decided. |
