PURPOSE:To provide the document processor and document processing method which enable only ruled lines in a desired range of a document to be specified so that they are not printed. CONSTITUTION:When 'no ruled-line printing' instruction operation is specified in a step S1, a range specifying process for specifying the range wherein ruled lines are not printed is performed in a step S2. Then ruled-line codes (steps S3-S6) in a text area of a document memory, ruled-line codes (steps S7-S12) in a frame area, and ruled-line code (steps S13-S17) in a vector ruled-line area are retrieved respectively in the specified range; once a ruled line code is found, printing ON/OFF information added to the ruled-line code is set to 'nonprinting'. The ruled-line code whose printing ON/OFF information is set to 'nonprinting' is displayed in a different display pattern from the normal display pattern of the ruled line in a step S18. When printing is performed in a step S19, the ruled line set to 'nonprinting' is not printed. |
