PURPOSE:To produce a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet low in iron loss by applying an aq. soln. consisting essentially of the oxides of Al and B and contg. the oxides of Cr and Si and a specified metallic salt on the surface of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet and baking the soln. CONSTITUTION:A coating agent consisting of an aq. soln. contg. 100 pts.wt. of one or >=2 kinds among colloidal alumina, fine-particle alumina and Al compds., expressed in terms of Al2O3, 20-80 pts.wt. of one or >=2 kinds among boric acid, borates, etc., expressed in terms of B2O3, 0.1-20 pts.wt. of one or >=2 kinds among chromic acid, dichromic acid and chromates, expressed in terms of CrO3, as the additives and 1.0-10 pts.wt. of one or >=2 kinds between colloidal silica and fine-particle silica, expressed in terms of SiO2 where the total amt. of both additives is controlled to 1.0-20 pts.wt., or further contg. 3.0-15 pts.wt. of the metallic salts of Fe, Ni, Co, Ti, Zr, Mn, etc., is applied on the surface of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet and baked at 600-1100 deg.C for >=30sec. |
