PURPOSE:To provide a flat electric wire for lighting fixture which can facilitate the wiring operations and does not require so many components for prevention of sagging. CONSTITUTION:A flat electric wire 1 is composed of a coupling part 3 in the central part and a pair of electric wire parts 2 provided on each side of the coupling part 3. Each electric wire part 2 consists of a conductor 4 and an insulative covering 5 enclosing the periphery of the conductor 4. The coupling part 3 is formed flat and thin to couple the coverings 5 of the wire parts 2 on both sides with each other, and one side face of the coupling part 3 and one-side ends of the wires parts 2 on each side are arranged flush. In the middle of the coupling part 3, a torn groove 8 is formed as extending in the longitudinal direction of the wire parts 2. The middle part of the coverings 5 in conjugate form with each other of the wire parts 2 in a pair is formed thin as stretching in the longitudinal direction of the wire parts 2 and serves as a bridge 6 for tearing. |
