PURPOSE:To output the map information to the outside by writing the map information around the current position stored in a map information storing means in an IC card or the like by a read/write means, and using a portable navigation with the IC card or the like as the storing medium. CONSTITUTION:When a destination (address) is inputted in an inputting device 30, an operation processing device 20 stores the destination data in the RAM 203, and the current position of a vehicle is detected by an absolute position detecting device 26, and the route to the destination is retrieved from the detected current position and the preset destination. When the vehicle starts the traveling, the current position is again detected, and the traveling route of the vehicle is judged from the retrieved route data and the current position. When the vehicle arrives at the destination, the operation processing device 20 reads the detailed map information around the destination from the storing device 24, and supplies it to a read/write part 38, and writes in the IS card inserted into the card slot. The car trip can be connected to the on-foot trip by using the portable navigation with this IC card as the storing medium. |
