PURPOSE:To simplify a structure, simplify installing work of a central contact conductor on the tip of a coaxial cable, and obtain a stable and reliable press- fitting effect. CONSTITUTION:A whole circumferential recessed part 2c, a taper surface 2d and a step part 2e are formed on an outer peripheral surface of a central contact conductor 2, and an annular insulator 11 is pressed in a cylindrical conductor ferrule 4 in a tail end part, and is arranged in a condition of being fitted in the recessed part 2c, and is formed in a simple shape as a single part set together with the conductor 2 and the ferrule 4. When a cylindrical fastening metal fitting 5 is screwed in a main body metal fitting 3 up to a prescribed fastening position, the insulator 11 is pressed and moved to the tip side through the ferrule 4, and a small diameter cylinder part 11a presses and fastens the tail end part of the conductor 2 in the diameter direction by cooperating with the taper surface 2d. At this time, since the insulator 11 is integrally engaged with the conductor 2, the insulator 11 does not decenter or become eccentric inside of the main body metal fitting 3, and keeps the correct positional relationship, and acts on the taper surface 2d of the conductor 2, so that a stable press- fitting effect can be obtained.
