摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the development of scale on a material to be heated by stably holding atmospheric oxygen concn. in a vertical induction heating furnace to an aimed value or lower. CONSTITUTION:One pair of partition plates 18 being possible to elevate/lower the material 1 to be heated are arranged in the inside of a furnace body frame base 8 and separated into a material heating range at the upper side from the furnace frame base 8 and a slag receiving 6 side range at the lower side in the heating furnace. Inert gas is supplied individually from inert gas blowing holes 11, 24 and also, the pressures at both ranges are measured with pressure gages placed at a measuring hole 13 for lower side pressure and a measuring hole 23 for upper side pressure. At this time, the atmospheric pressure in the furnace at the material heating range at the upper side is made to be positive pressure to the outer air and held to be higher than the atmospheric pressure in the slag receiving 6 side range at the lower side. By this method, the invasion of oxygen into the material heating zone from the slag receiving side easily invading the oxygen together with the invasion of the outer air can be prevented.</p>
