<p>PURPOSE:To instantaneously recognize the remaining capacity of a battery pack and also the operating time secured by the battery pack when this pack is loaded into the main body of a portable electronic equipment which uses the loadable/unloadable battery pack containing a secondary battery as an operating power supply in a battery driving state. CONSTITUTION:When a battery pack 10 is loaded into a personal computer main body 20, a processor (CPU) of the main body 20 reads the state information on a built-in secondary battery 11 out of a storage 12 contained in the pack 10. Thus the battery remaining capacity of the pack 10, the type of the battery, etc., can be instantaneously recognized. Furthermore the operation enabled time secured by the loaded pack 10 can also be instantaneously recognized.</p> |
