PURPOSE:To provide a boring rod measurement device adaptable to all types of boring machines, simple for use as a device, easily operable and adjustable, and ensuring high measurement accuracy. CONSTITUTION:This device is formed out of a detection disc 2 supported on a rotating center shaft 2A off and orthogonal with the axis of a boring rod 1, so as to be rotatable in a direction along the axis and driven for rotation with the shift of the rod 1, and a rotary encoder 5 fitted to the shaft 2A of the disc 2. In addition, the disc 2 has many contact rollers 3, 3 and so forth around the periphery thereof at the prescribed intervals, in such state as rotatably supported along the radial direction thereof, and driven for rotation due to the rotation of the rod 1, upon contact with the external surface thereof. |
