<p>PURPOSE:To prevent deposition the agglomerate of an external additive agent from attaching onto a photoreceptor and to restrain occurrence of scratches on the photoreceptor, and to obtain a high-quality image. CONSTITUTION:The toner composition comprises toner particles comprising a binder and a colorant and the additive agent containing fine crystalline titanium oxide particles having a specific surface area of 60-100m<2>/g and a Karl Fischer's water content of <=5 weight% treated with a coupling agent. This agent is represented by one of formulae (I): R<1>Si(X)3; (II): R<1>R<2>Si(X)2; (III): R<1>R<2> R<3>SiX, in which R<1> is 1-20C alkyl; each of R<2> and R<3> is H, 1-20C alkyl or aryl; and X is halogen, alkoxy, or acetoxy.</p> |
