<p>PURPOSE:To provide a fruit/vegetable storage chamber using an adsorbent for CO2 gas or ethylene gas, designed to avoid the electric power losses when the door is opened and it is closed and the performance decline of the adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerator 11 with a door 10 is communicably equipped, in a by-pass way, with an air conduction mechanism 14 provided with an adsorbent 23 to adsorb a gas from the in-chamber gases and electric control elements such as a gas force feed means 19. When the door 10 is opened during adsorption by being in operation of the respective electric control units of the air conduction mechanism 14, valve means 26, 27 controlling the channel of the mechanism 14 are turned to 'current off' by the switch 33 to control in-chamber devices 32 interlockingly with the door 10, resulting in screening the adsorbent 23 from the refrigerator 11.</p> |
