<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently extend the various kinds of picture information expressed by a PDL (page description language) within a fixed memory amount and to eliminate the degradation in picture quality. CONSTITUTION:Data described by the PDL are received by using a communication medium 2 and classified by respective attributes included in PDL information in an identification part 3. The data respectively extended in plural attribute extension parts 4 are compressed in compression parts 6 provided for the respective attribute extension parts 4 and all the information is tentatively stored in the block memory 9 of a certain size. In a size control part 7, the amount of the stored data is compared with a size set value and at the time of exceeding it, a compression system is selected and a compression processing is performed again. At the time of becoming equal to or less than the size set value, storage in a page memory 10 is performed. At the time of picture output, based on a combination command stored in a command memory 8, the picture information read from the page memory is expanded in an expansion part 11 and the picture information for the respective attributes is synthesized in a synthesis part 2 and extended to a final image.</p> |
