PURPOSE:To control the heat generator and carbonization and deterioration of resin at the time of polymerization and secure sufficient fire retardancy by establishing a principle of adding a halogen-containing fire retardant agent and a halogen active species collecting agent in a molded product formed by bulk polymerizing norbornane monomers in a mold. CONSTITUTION:In a molded product formed by bulk polymerizing norbornane monomers in a mold, a halogen containing fire retardant and a halogen active species collecting agent are added. At that time, a halogen excluding retardant can be added therein. On the other hand, in a method of manufacturing the molded product, bulk polymerization is carried out in the state of melting or dispersing the halogen containing fire retardant and the halogen active species curing agent in the norbornane monomers. Also the halogen including fire retardant can be bulk polymerized. The reactive liquid used for the bulk polymerization is composed of a reactive raw liquid containing metathesis catalyst and the halogen active species collecting agent and raw liquid containing norbornane monomers, an activating agent and the halogen-containing fire retardant. |
