PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive material capable of forming a hardened image small in fog and large in exposure latitude in heat development conditions by adding a nonpolymerizable oily substance in any layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material has >=2 layers containing silver halide, a reducing agent, and a cross-linkable polymer on a support, and a photosensitive layer containing silver halide and a hardenable layer containing the cross-linkable polymer are separately formed, and the oily substance is added to one of the layers, preferably, to any layer except the layer farthest from the support, especially, to the hardenable layer or its adjacent layer, preferably, its adjacent photosensitive layer. The water solubility of the hydrophobic substance at a room temperature of 25 deg.C is <=10%, and when organic compounds are used for the oily substance, greater parts of the bonds between the carbon atoms of the compounds must be saturated. |
