A recording medium-reader, a ball lending machine and a medal lending machine which reduce the cost of production of the recording medium and can utilize resources. When a recording medium is fully used up and judgement means judges that no data remain any more, transfer/control means causes a transfer member to transfer the recording medium after reading into a case and to recover it into the case.
