The device eliminates the bit noise of the television by comparing the standard ROM data and the received data during horizontal blanking. The device comprises a bit noise detector(20A) for detecting bit noise by converting the image data into digital signal; the first delay unit(23) for delaying the image data according to the operation of bit noise detector(20A); and a subtracter(29) for subtracting the output of the bit noise detector(20A) from the delayed image data. The bit noise detector contains a timing generator(25), an error data memory(27), and a regularity checking unit(30).
