The device controls a calling function for the facsimile by discriminating and selectively processing the signals respectively. The method comprises the steps of: detecting the facsimile transmission signal to receive the data when ring signal is detected; connecting the telephone line by generating the ring signal when the facsimile signal is not transmitted for a time interval; and connecting the line to the place of the DTMF tone designated.
