<p>Apparatus for treating milling products to recover steam energy which includes a rotor having at least one pocket therein which is rotatably mounted within a housing so that the pocket is sequentially brought into open communication with a material inlet, milling product discharge opening, and steam outlet and wherein milling product received into the pocket when aligned with the material inlet is discharged through the milling product discharge opening and the steam separated therefrom thereafter discharged through the steam outlet. The discharged milling product is subsequently conveyed through a steam tight discharge device.</p> |
