Heterogeneous treatment for industrial and domestic waste

Heterogeneous wastes are introduced into the top of a sloping hearth furnace where they melt and run into a quenching bath forming vitrified granules. Particles from the initial combustion pass into a post-combustion furnace, with at least 2 s residence time and a temp. of 1200-1400 deg C, then to a separate quenching bath. Off-gases are washed and filtered prior to release.
