Sail and mast with curved upper section for e.g. sailboards
摘要
The sail has several battens and a pocket fitting around the mast. The sail cut and bend of the upper half of the mast are so arranged that the luff of the top part of the sail is almost horizontal. The leech towards the top of the sail closely follows the curve of the luff. The foot of the sail runs in a direct line from the clew to the tack which lies close to the mast as in conventional sails. The upper half of the mast may have an additional oval tube to allow it to bend more readily backwards than from side to side.
