A hollow body for installation in concrete has a canister (21) for electrical apparatus like lamps, sockets or clamps. The canister is cylindrical, closed at the rear end, and there are several different cover plates (33) which can fit it, depending on use. The canister is embedded in the concrete and the cover plate is fastened to the concrete. On the side of the canister is a detachable junction box cover (44). The junction box is an extension to the side of the canister, there being a film hinge (63) at one corner of the rectangular dividing wall. The junction box may contain a transformer.
