Digital decoding composite video, blanking and synchronisation signals

The digital decoding method copes with multi standard video signals such as PAL, SECAM and NTSC. The method is realised by the use of a sample rate converter (32), a time and burst PLL (33), a vertical Walsh-Hadamard-Transformer, WHT, (34), a WHT horizontal stage (35), controls and settings unit (36), an automatic amplification control stage (37) for chrominance, a horizontal one dimensional, IWHT, a circuit (39), a vertical IWHT unit (40), an output sampling rate converter (41) and a line PLL (42). The process allows conversion of the sampling rate between different transmission standards.
