Electrical insulation hand-held stripping tool for conductor ends

A stripping tool is hand-held and is used to remove the insulation from the ends of electrical conductors (36). Within the nose assembly of the tool is a gripping jaw (34) within upper and lower sections. The jaw section (59) is a channel in which a number of pivot mounted laminated blades are positioned. When hand pressure is applied to the hand grips the laminate cutting blades each adopt a position to suit the cable cross section and penetrate the insulation. Further closing of the grips allows the insulation to be pulled clear.
