The amount of heat surrendered from or received by the reactor (3) is determined from the control or regulating variables. The heat flow (qf) between the reactor (3) and the casing (4) is measured according to the thermal balance method. The flow speed of the medium in the casing (4) is so large selected, that the temp. (Tj) in the casing, remains approx. the same over the entire vol. of the casing. The temp. (Tj) in the casing is maintained nearly constant over time. The temp. (Tr) in the reactor (3, fig.2) is held constant by a heating element (5), with a time constant of a few secs. only, arranged in the reactor.
