The free end (37) of the drive-shaft (15) is supported in the motor housing (3) by a sprung self-centring mounting (71) which damps the radial vibration and limits the axial play of the drive-shaft (15). The mounting (71) within the motor housing (3) may have a pressure-loaded ball (73), inside a radially and axially sprung metal retainer (75), locating with a cavity in the free-end (37) of the drive-shaft (15).
