In vertical panel saws, most of the sawings are sucked off directly from the saw blade (9). For suction removal of the remaining sawdust arising behind the workpiece (5), vertical strut-type ducts (10), coinciding with the vertical cutting locations, and a vertical end duct (12) at the cut end of the frame (1) are provided, the deflection plate (13) of the said end duct being actuable by the saw beam (6). Direct and reliable suction removal of the remaining sawdust is thus possible both in the case of vertical and horizontal saw cuts.
