PURPOSE:To eliminate re-flaw-detection and to make wave form evaluation easier for shorter inspection and evaluation time by compressing and recording the digital data of A scope wave form obtained with ultrasonic flaw detection with multiple data compression calculation means. CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic video signal is converted into digital value at a constant fast sampling clock, and at a data selection circuit 4, the data is compressed with the resolution selected among 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 by a condition setting part 3. For example, for 1/4, the maximum value is kept every four pieces out of the data sequentially inputted, and it is written into a wave form memory 5 as one data. Therefore, the four-signal time of sampling clock comes to be measurement resolution. The data written into the memory 5 represents wave height value, and address a path length value. A compression calculation circuit 6 further calculates the data written into the memory 5 for compression and coding, and after that, sequentially writes it into a buffer memory 7, so that ultrasonic flaw detection wave form is recorded. |
