VALVE TIMING CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To adapt a valve timing control device to an SOHC type valve system and regulate free movement of an outer shaft and an inner shaft in a thrust direction. CONSTITUTION:A cam shaft 1 is composed of an outer shaft 15 and an inner shaft 16 which are relatively rotatable. One end of the outer shaft 15 is connected to a driven sprocket 4, while one end 16c of the inner shaft 16 is interlocked with a phase conversion means 5. A circular regulation member 37 is arranged between one end of the outer shaft 15 and one end 16c of the inner shaft 16 for regulating movement of the shafts 15, 16 in a thrust direction.
