PURPOSE: To provide a receptor sheet for thermal transfer recording on which an tmage excellent in image density and resolution can be formed. CONSTITUTION: The receptor sheet for use in thermal transfer recording comprises a polymeric matrix containing at least one hard polymeric element with a softening temperature higher than that of an ink donor layer and at least one soft polymeric element with a softening temperature lower than that of the ink donor layer.
