A process and a device for achieving an electromagnetic shield for electronic devices such as monitors. The inside of the case 12 surrounding the monitor is provided with a shield 31, which is electrically conductive and follows the inner walls of the case and consists of two or more substantially straight-sided metal foil blanks 32, 34, 36; 50, 52, 54 joined edge to edge, advantageously by means of riveting.
