A process and a device for achieving an electromagnetic shield for electronic devices such as monitors. The inside of the case 12 surrounding the monitor is provided with a shield 31, which is conductive of electricity and follows the inner walls of the case and is formed by one or more metal foil blanks 32, 34, 36; 50, 52, 54. The outer edge 41 of the shield 31 has been arranged such that, over the whole of its length 60 or at least along a part 47 thereof, it penetrates the case and is folded over the edge 39, 61 of the case. <IMAGE>
