PURPOSE:To prevent a change of an image in density and tint caused by a background of untransferred image-receiving paper. CONSTITUTION:A photosensor 11 transmits data of a reflective density of untransferred image-receiving paper 5 to a correction circuit 14 through an amplifier 12 and an A/D converter 13. The luminance data per pixel found by a matrix circuit 18 is inputted to the correction circuit 14. The correction circuit 14 evaluates correction data by subtracting the reflective density data from the inverse number of the luminance data. A RGB correction circuit 20 calculates luminance correction values for red, green, and blue from the correction data. The pixel image data is added to a correction value of a corresponding color in an adder 19, transmitted to a RGB/YMC conversion circuit 21, and converted to image data of cyan, magenta, and yellow. Ink dots are formed on the image recording paper 5 in accordance with the converted image data. |
