摘要

PURPOSE:To relax a traffic of a control channel by setting permission or inhibition for mode changeover for each zone so as to suppress mode switching more than a required number of times at a dead area or an edge of a service area. CONSTITUTION:A zone forming a ground mode service area 11 is divided into a zone where a changeover from the ground mode into the satellite mode is allowed but a changeover from the satellite mode into the ground mode is inhibited and a zone where a changeover from the ground mode into the satellite mode is inhibited but a changeover from the satellite mode into the ground mode is allowed. That is, a ground mode base station 8 informs the mode and the permission or inhibition with other mobile communication mode to a mobile equipment resident in a concerned zone for each zone forming the mode service zone and a ground/satellite dual mode mobile equipment 9 controls the mode changeover according to the notice.
