<p>PURPOSE:To form sufficient electrostatic capacity between the conductive film of a face plate and the stylus and enable accurate position detection by providing a contact chip which extends in the axial direction of a rod conductor and includes a tower part having an umbrella part atop. CONSTITUTION:The contact chip 20 includes a shaft part 22, a base part 24, and a contact part 26. The contact part 26 is made of a conductive elastic material which is made conductive by mixing carbon with an elastic material such as polyurethane. The contact part 26 has a base part 34 where a cavity containing a pedestal is formed and the tower part 36 which extends axially from the center of the base part. The core part of the shaft part 22 comes into contact with the contact part 26 inside to electrically connect the contact part 26 and rod conductor 12 to each other, and also supports the tower part 34 so that it does not curve excessively by depression. The umbrella part 38 whose tip is made flat is provided atop the tower part 36. The flat part of the umbrella part 38 has its area selected so that the sufficient electrostatic capacity is obtained with the conductive film when its entire area comes into contact with the face plate.</p> |
