PURPOSE:To discriminate nature based on density by measuring delay time between sending and receiving of supersonic signal of a supersonic sensor and calculating density of fuel based on the delay time. CONSTITUTION:On the way of gasoline piping 11 with which gasoline G is supplied from a fuel tank 9 to an engine 1, a measurement part 15 equipped with a supersonic sensor is provided. The delay time corresponding to the hydrocarbon in gasoline G is detected from the measurement part 15, and based on the delay time, density is calculated in a control unit 21. Based on the density, fuel nature is determined as light quality, heavy quality, etc. According to the nature, the engine is controlled. |
