PURPOSE:To provide a flow rate controller for power steering which supplies the pressurized fluid discharged from a pipe whose pump discharge flow rate increases according to the number of pump revolution into the power steering device of a vehicle through a variable throttle passage in a supply passage and can return the excessive pressure fluid to the suction side of the pump by a spool valve for adjusting the flow rate which adjusts the opening degree of a return passage and can reduce the pump driving loss and the temperature rise of the pressurized fluid. CONSTITUTION:A control spool valve 5 consists of a cylindrical outer barrel 13, control spool 14 installed in a slidable manner in the outer barrel 13, and a compression coil spring 15 for urging the control spool 14 to the discharge side of a hydraulic pump 3. On a housing 2, communication passages 22 and 23 for the communication from a discharge passage 4 to a pressurized oil supply hole 21 are formed, and on the outer barrel 13, a fixed throttle passage 16 and a variable throttle passage 17 which are opened to the communication passages 22 and 23 on the housing 2 are formed, and a long cylindrical bypass opening 18 which constitutes a bypass passage is formed. |
