PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer material for laser recording for obtaining high transfer density and recording not causing the blur and color transfer of an image during preservation using laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer material for laser recording consists of a dye donating material and an image receiving material and is characterized by that the thermal transfer dye of the dye donating material has a dissociable substituent and a dye fixing agent is added to a dye image receiving layer.
