PURPOSE: To provide a lancing device which is proof against incidental malfunction and has an automatic cocking feature (triggering prepared function) of lancing a user's skin in order to collect a blood sample. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a casing 16 having a discharging button opening 14 and an opening for a plunger 24, a discharging button 12 movably disposed in a casing through the discharging button opening, the plunger 24 movably disposed in the casing, a discharging button spring 18 engaged with the discharging button and the casing, and driving spring 22 engaged with the discharging button and the plunger. Furthermore, the device includes latch trigger mechanisms 40a and 40b joining the plunger to engage with the plunger, and the discharging button engages with the latch trigger mechanisms to disengage the plunger. |
