PURPOSE:To lessen the generation of a noise and the wearing of components and to stably and excellently separate foreign matter from used toner over a long period by vibrating a filter having an opening capable of letting magnetic toner pass through in a nearly horizontal direction with respect to a filter surface. CONSTITUTION:The filter 20 having the opening capable of making the magnetic toner to pass through, a vibration generating means for vibrating the filter 20 in the nearly horizontal direction with respect to the filter surface and a magnetic field generating means for generating a magnetic field for attracting the magnetic toner via the filter 20 are provided. In other words, a vibration is imparted to a supporting member 44 by a cam 41 rotated by a driving motor 42 and the vibration in the nearly horizontal direction with respect to the filter surface is transmitted to the filter 20 supported by the supporting member 44. Thus, the foreign matter can be efficiently separated from the used toner and simulteneously the noise generated at the time of vibrating the mesh filter 20 can be reduced. |
