PURPOSE:To provide a non-reflection terminal being resistant to dirt and dust, of high reliability and easy to handle. CONSTITUTION:A coreless fiber 30 about 200mm long (not having a waveguide structure i.e., a coreless glass fiber whose distribution of refractive index is flat) is connected by welding on the end part of an optical fiber 14. Otherwise, a connector ferrule 34 is mounted on the end part of the coreless fiber 30 and the optical fiber 14 is connected to the connector. An incident light beam incident on the coreless fiber 30 from the optical fiber 14 soon leaks out. A reflection point 300 exists on the end of the coreless fiber 30 but the light does not reach there. Consequently, a non-reflection terminal is easily realized. |
