PURPOSE:To provide a spindle motor in which the lead wires of a stator can be easily and surely connected to the power supply side and disconnection of the lead wires can be prevented and which can be connected to a power supply section in a removable state and can be constituted in a compact body. CONSTITUTION:A spindle motor is provided with a central shaft section 4 on which a socket 2 is mounted, rotor hub 5 which is pivotally supported by the central shaft section 4 through an upper bearing 23 and lower bearing 24, flexible printed circuit board (FPC) 3 which connects the coil 26 of a stator 6 installed across the stator 6 and socket 2 to the pins 29 of the socket 2, and O-ring 7 which is put in the fitting part 9 of the shaft section 4 and supports the FPC 3. The FPC 3 is composed of a printed board 31 in which a printed circuit is formed and reinforcing plate 3 which reinforces the board 31 and the board 31 is connected to the coil 26 through lead wires 39. The board 31 is also connected to the pins 29 of the socket 2. When the socket 2 is connected with a power supply section, the rotor hub 5 can be driven. |
