PURPOSE:To provide a Japanese sentence polishing device for easily using suitable words for a impressive expression by outputting an impressive word provided with an inputted adjective word as a main impression. CONSTITUTION:Index words and the adjective words showing the impressions receiving from the index words, at least, are registered on a dictionary 1. Pairs of the adjective words to appear inside the dictionary 1 and pointers to the index words of the dictionary 1 with those adjective words as their main impressions are registered on a table 2. When a certain adjective word is inputted through an input buffer 4 to a retrieving mechanism 3, the table 2 is retrieved by the inputted adjective word, and the pointer to the dictionary 1 is possessed. Further, the dictionary 1 is referred to based on the pointer, and the contents of the dictionary 1 are provided and outputted to an output buffer 5. When inputting plural adjective words, the product set or sum set of contents in the dictionary 1 retrieved from the respective adjective words can be calculated and outputted by a set arithmetic unit 6. |
